Cost of college went up for all students at Phagans Grants Pass College of Beauty

Tuition and fees rose 5.1 percent for 2018-19 at Phagans Grants Pass College of Beauty, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Oregon students paid $16,200 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $790 more than the $15,410 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 86 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 23 students received grants or scholarships totaling $113,552 and 18 students took out student loans totaling more than $79,889.

Including all undergraduates (42), 39 students used grants or scholarships totaling $209,764, and 36 students took out $170,490 in federal student loans.
