The Medford Police Department is seeing an increase in motor vehicle crashes and would like to provide information to the public on best practices and guidelines following an accident.

If the crash is minor, MPD suggests filling out a Crash Information Exchange List.  That information then goes to your car insurance company. Click here to view the Crash Information Exchange List.

You must submit a report of a motor vehicle accident to the DMV when it meets any of the following criteria:

  • Damage to any vehicle is over $2,500 (even if your vehicle was the only one in the crash)
  • Damage to any vehicle is over $2,500 and any vehicle is towed from the scene
  • Injury or death resulted from this accident
  • Damages to anyone’s property other than a vehicle involved in this accident is more than $2,500
Click here to submit a motor vehicle accident report.

Non-Injury Hit and Run cases and Traffic Complaints can also be reported online. Click here.
