Reinhart Volunteer Park is the City’s most popular park destination; however, the main playground structure–built in 1993–has surpassed its expected lifespan of 20-25 years and needs to be replaced.
The City of Grants Pass is applying for a grant to help fund the replacement of the main playground equipment, and we really want input from the community to help determine which type of structure should be considered.
The City obtained three unique designs that provide a more challenging level of play, with climbing nets for our older children and separate equipment for younger children. There are three options for playground designs to consider. Please take our brief survey and share your thoughts about which of the three structure options you prefer; the city will use your feedback to help design the playground structure that will be included in an upcoming grant application.
While all three play structures are different, they are similar in that they each have:
- Separate play structures for children of 5-12 years old (Big Kids), and younger children 2-5 years (Tot Lot).
- Uniformed rubber tile for Big Kids, and Certified Wood Fiber for Tot Lot sections.
- Swing bay with two belt swings, and one Tot bucket seat.
- Tire Swing.
The survey will close on October 21, 2022, at 11:59 pm.
