Activities fees reduced for middle and high school students

Student Investment Account (SIA) dollars have made it possible for Grants Pass School District 7 to substantially reduce pay-to-play fees for middle and high school students for the 2022-23 school year. Fees were also reduced during the 2021-22 school year.

The district is investing more than a quarter of a million dollars to reduce activities fees. The hope is that reduced fees will encourage more participation in after-school sports and activities for secondary students.

“Studies show that participation in extracurricular activities, contributes to increased academic success,” Trisha Evens, Director of Secondary Education says. “We hope this funding will allow more students the opportunity to participate in the many activities offered in District 7.”

Athletic fees are $75 for high school students and $35 for middle school students. Band fees are being reduced by $75. As in years past, the district will continue to cover athletic fees for students who participate in three or more sports. Please contact your school’s office for information on scholarships available. School offices are closed through July 31, 2022.
