All American Summer Dog Adoption Event

Help! We’ve got some GREAT long-timer dogs at the Jackson County Animal Shelter that want to find their fur-ever home!

The Animal Shelter is at capacity for housing dogs, due to the combination of a slowdown in adoptions during these last six months and a recent surge in the number of dogs entering the Shelter as strays. Unfortunately, the decrease in adoptions is a recent trend being experienced by other animals shelters across the country.

While ALL dogs 6 months and older will have their adoption fees reduced to just $50 – a 66% discount from the regular price of $150 – we’ll be highlighting our long-time Shelter dogs.  We’ve got some GREAT companions who are so ready to find a fur-ever home.  Come out and meet them!!

Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10, Noon to 4 PM

Jackson County Animal Shelter

5595 S. Pacific Hwy in Phoenix (nearer to Talent).

No appointments are needed to attend this event. Walk-ins are welcome!

If you have been considering adopting a dog, now is the perfect time!

Our goal is to place as many dogs as possible into caring homes to free up space for incoming dogs needing new homes. Help us find our long-time furry friends a new home!

All adopted dogs will be spay/neutered,  microchipped, etc. prior to going to their new homes.

During this event, adopting families will go through the same standard adoption process they would if applying at other times, which includes an application and screening requirements. In addition to the $50 adoption fee, adopters who live in Jackson County will also be responsible for paying $25 for an annual dog license.

This event is made possible by Friends of the Animal Shelter, which will pay the discount for every dog adopted this weekend and provides the volunteers needed to hold this event.
