Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account regarding forest management and developments in Venezuela.

On January 8, 2026, Bentz posted about his participation in a subcommittee hearing: “Today, I joined the @NatResources Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife and Fisheries for a hearing on the Fix Our Forests for Affordable and Reliable Water and Power Supplies Act. Decades of mismanagement has left our forests overstocked, unhealthy, and dangerously fire-prone. It is https://t.co/k3adYfGGqf”.

The following day, January 9, 2026, Bentz addressed international affairs with a statement: “My statement regarding the events in Venezuela https://t.co/UKXrvbLKw4”. Cliff Bentz has represented Oregon’s 2nd district since 2021 after succeeding Greg Walden. Born in Salem in 1952 and now residing in Ontario at age 71, Bentz holds degrees from Eastern Oregon University and Lewis and Clark College.
