Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on community engagements through his social media posts.
On August 21, 2025, Bentz wrote about meetings in Wamic: “I had a couple of good meetings in Wamic today! I was joined by Wasco County Commissioner Jeff Justesen for lunch and toured the Pine Hollow Lakeside Reservoir with proprietor Nick Marquez. It was great to visit with both of them and discuss the work that they are doing in the”.
The following day, August 22, he highlighted participation at a local airshow. In one post he stated: “We had a great turnout at the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Madeas Airshow! It was a wonderful opportunity to see incredible planes and visit with many in person. I also appreciated the chance to meet with Jefferson County Commissioner Seth Taylor and Madras-Jefferson”. Cliff Bentz has served as Oregon’s 2nd District representative since 2021 after succeeding Greg Walden. Prior to his current role, Bentz served in both chambers of Oregon’s state legislature—first in the House of Representatives from 2008 to 2018, then in the State Senate from 2018 to 2020. Born in Salem, Oregon in 1952, Bentz resides in Ontario and holds degrees from Eastern Oregon University (BA) and Lewis & Clark College (JD).
