Cliff Bentz highlights agriculture and legislative duties in recent posts

Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates highlighting his activities and priorities as a federal legislator.

On March 24, 2026, Bentz marked National Agriculture Day by expressing gratitude to those working in agriculture: “Happy National Agriculture Day! I’m proud to represent a District where agriculture is so important and prevalent. Farmers and ranchers are incredibly important to Oregon, and I thank each of them this day and every day!”

The following day, March 25, Bentz informed followers about upcoming legislative activity involving emergency communications systems: “The @HouseCommerce, on which I serve, will hold a full committee markup on two bills focused on extending FirstNet and the emergency alert system. TUNE IN at 10:15 AM ET | 7:15 AM PT “

On March 26, Bentz shared his experience presiding over proceedings in the House chamber: “It is always an honor to preside over the House floor as Members spoke about critical issues. I am proud to represent Oregon’s Second Congressional District from the Speaker’s Chair!”

Cliff Bentz has represented Oregon’s 2nd congressional district since replacing Greg Walden in 2021. Before joining Congress, he served in both chambers of the Oregon state legislature between 2008 and 2020. Born in Salem in 1952, Bentz currently resides in Ontario and holds degrees from Eastern Oregon University and Lewis and Clark College.
