Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On September 23, 2025, Bentz posted about a recent interview with local media: “I sat down at the KDRV in Medford to discuss the recent passage of the Continuing Resolution, provided an update on Congressional priorities, the vital importance of Medicaid and shared insights from my recent Tele-Town Halls.”
The following day, September 24, he highlighted his participation in a discussion with local business leaders: “Earlier today, I spoke with the Medford Chamber, joined by Commissioner Sparacino, about my work with the White House, the importance of Medicaid, key transportation and infrastructure projects in Southern Oregon, and the ongoing efforts in Congress to keep the government open”.
Later that same day, Bentz noted another meeting focused on tax policy: “I had a great discussion with the Medford-Rogue Rotary about the key provisions in the Working Family Tax Cuts, how these provisions will help Oregon taxpayers, and the work I am doing in Congress and with the White House. I appreciate the Rotarians for taking the time to meet”.
Cliff Bentz has represented Oregon’s 2nd district since 2021 after succeeding Greg Walden. Prior to serving in Congress, he was a member of both chambers of Oregon’s state legislature between 2008 and 2020. Born in Salem in 1952 and currently residing in Ontario at age 71, Bentz holds degrees from Eastern Oregon University (BA) and Lewis & Clark College (JD).
