Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd congressional district, recently used his social media platform to share updates on community events and initiatives.

On September 16, 2025, Bentz invited constituents to participate in an upcoming event: “Don’t forget to join me for my Tele-Town Hall for tomorrow Wednesday, September 17th at 5:30PM PT for Umatilla, Union, Baker, Gilliam, Malheur, Grant, Harney, Lake, Wallowa, Morrow, and Wheeler Counties! I look forward to hearing from you and discuss issues that matter most to https://t.co/SqjsO0cKcK”.

Later the same day on September 16, Bentz highlighted a development in local healthcare funding: “Great news for Union County! I was glad to support the Grande Ronde Hospital’s grant (see attached letter). Today, I am pleased to share that Grande Ronde Hospital has received the $2.2 million dollars from the EDA to renovate its Acute and Behavioral Health Care Workforce https://t.co/veaJKssWTd”.

On September 17, he addressed students seeking appointments at military academies: “As a Member of Congress, I have the honor of nominating eligible candidates from Oregon’s Second Congressional District for appointment to the United States Service Academies. Students interested in a congressional nomination for Fall 2025 admission should visit https://t.co/idTg7y7hbe”.

Cliff Bentz has served as Oregon’s 2nd district representative since replacing Greg Walden in 2021. Before his tenure in Congress began that year,
he was a member of both the Oregon House of Representatives (2008-2018) and the Oregon State Senate (2018-2020). Bentz was born in Salem in 1952 and currently resides in Ontario. He is an alumnus of Eastern Oregon University (BA) and Lewis and Clark College (JD).
