Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd congressional district, recently used his social media platform to share updates on community events and initiatives.

Later the same day on September 16, Bentz highlighted a development in local healthcare funding: “Great news for Union County! I was glad to support the Grande Ronde Hospital’s grant (see attached letter). Today, I am pleased to share that Grande Ronde Hospital has received the $2.2 million dollars from the EDA to renovate its Acute and Behavioral Health Care Workforce https://t.co/veaJKssWTd”.
On September 17, he addressed students seeking appointments at military academies: “As a Member of Congress, I have the honor of nominating eligible candidates from Oregon’s Second Congressional District for appointment to the United States Service Academies. Cliff Bentz has served as Oregon’s 2nd district representative since replacing Greg Walden in 2021. Before his tenure in Congress began that year,
he was a member of both the Oregon House of Representatives (2008-2018) and the Oregon State Senate (2018-2020). Bentz was born in Salem in 1952 and currently resides in Ontario. He is an alumnus of Eastern Oregon University (BA) and Lewis and Clark College (JD).
