Congressman Cliff Bentz, who represents Oregon’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on his official social media account addressing issues ranging from wildlife management to military training and energy legislation.
On December 16, Bentz highlighted concerns about gray wolf populations, stating, “ICYMI: Congress cannot afford to sit idle while the impacts of an unmanaged wolf population increase. We must continue to act, listen to our constituents, and work toward responsibly delisting the gray wolf.”
Two days later, on December 18, he reported a meeting with General Kenneth Wilsbach regarding Kingsley Field’s upcoming mission for F-35 pilot training. In his post, Bentz wrote, “I met with General Kenneth Wilsbach, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, to discuss Kingsley Field’s forthcoming mission training F-35 pilots. We discussed the transition timeline, mission scope, aircraft basing, and what this mission means for personnel, infrastructure…”
That same day, Bentz shared remarks delivered on the House floor supporting H.R. 4776—the SPEED Act—emphasizing its role in reforming federal permitting processes for energy projects. He stated: “This morning, I spoke on the House floor in support of H.R. 4776, the SPEED Act, which is expected to pass later today. This legislation is important as it brings clarity to NEPA and the federal permitting process. The SPEED Act is key in unlocking America’s energy potential,”
